PHASES OF TRAINING
Doing a set of exercises is great, but a program needs to be
changed every 4-6 weeks for continuous progress. Let me further
this
by saying that it's NOT just changing the actual exercises but also HOW
the exercises are performed. By just changing a few parameters, like
increasing/decreasing exercise tempo, taking away stability, or
changing the order, you will elicit a different result. And, this
training philosophy is in tune with the many functions the body can
perform....like helping you to move quicker, more controlled and with
more endurance or with less or no pain.
TRAINING PHILOSOPHY
I program everything
at a client's own level but still make sound judgements on how to push
just beyond that comfort threshold for progress to occur. The
human body is a very highly adaptive specimen. The studies on
this are
unbelieveable. The mind-body connection is very strong and many
studies have proved this as well. I mention this because my most
successful client's are those that are really ready to learn and be
dedicated. We work together to make sure health and fitness is a
priority even when other things in life are maybe not so good. I
make suggestions to clients for them to find methods of relaxation and positive
support. A mind that is not clear can really take away
motivation to exercise and eat right, taking them even
further from their goals.
